2. Certificate Function

A School may issue a certificate to recognise that a Student has satisfied requirements established by that School.

Depending on the Course, a certificate may represent:

• Course completion;
• participation;
• attendance;
• achievement;
• successful assessment;
• professional development;
• skills training; or
• another educational accomplishment.

The meaning of a certificate should be determined by the School and accurately communicated to Students.

3. Certificate of Completion

A Certificate of Completion may confirm that a Student completed the requirements established for a Course.

Completion does not automatically mean that the Student has obtained a regulated qualification.

4. Certificate of Achievement

A School may issue a Certificate of Achievement where the Student has met specified assessment or performance requirements.

The School is responsible for determining those requirements.

5. Certificate of Participation

A Certificate of Participation may confirm that a Student participated in a Course, event or learning activity.

It should not be represented as proof that the Student passed an assessment where no such assessment occurred.

6. Other Credentials

JIT Campus may support additional credentials such as:

• badges;
• completion records;
• digital credentials;
• transcripts;
• statements of achievement; or
• other educational records.

The School remains responsible for accurately describing what each credential represents.

7. School-Issued Certificates

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a certificate generated for a Course is issued by the School responsible for that Course.

For example, if:

ABC Digital Academy

operates a School through JIT Campus and issues a certificate to a Student, the certificate is ordinarily an ABC Digital Academy certificate.

JIT Campus provides the technology used to create, store or verify it.

8. JIT Campus Is Not Automatically the Awarding Body

JIT Campus should not be described as the awarding institution simply because the certificate was generated through the Platform.

A School must not state:

“This qualification is awarded by JIT Campus”

unless Jorsas Tech has expressly authorised JIT Campus to act as an awarding body for that particular programme.

9. Jorsas Tech Credentials

Jorsas Tech may separately operate its own Courses or programmes.

Where Jorsas Tech itself is the Course provider, certificates may be issued by Jorsas Tech or another expressly identified entity.

Such circumstances should be clearly distinguished from independent Schools operating through JIT Campus.

10. School Requirements

Each School determines the requirements a Student must satisfy before receiving its certificate.

These may include:

• completing required lessons;
• achieving a minimum assessment score;
• completing assignments;
• meeting attendance requirements;
• completing practical activities;
• paying applicable Course fees;
• satisfying academic integrity requirements; or
• meeting another legitimate Course requirement.

11. Requirements Should Be Communicated

Where a Course offers a certificate, Schools should clearly communicate material certificate requirements to Students.

Students should not ordinarily discover after completing a Course that significant undisclosed requirements prevent them from receiving the advertised certificate.

12. Automated Certificates

JIT Campus may allow Schools to configure certificates for automatic issuance.

For example, a School may configure the Platform to issue a certificate when:

• all mandatory modules are completed;
• the Student achieves a specified score; and
• other configured requirements are satisfied.

13. School Responsibility for Configuration

The School is responsible for ensuring that its certificate rules are configured correctly.

JIT Campus is not responsible for an incorrect academic outcome caused by a School deliberately or incorrectly configuring its completion criteria, except to the extent that the issue results from a malfunction of JIT Campus itself.

14. Authorised Issuance

Where manual certificate issuance is available, only appropriately authorised School Users should issue certificates.

15. Improper Issuance

A School Owner, Lecturer or administrator must not knowingly issue a certificate to falsely represent that a Student completed requirements they did not complete.

16. Certificate Details

Depending on Platform functionality, a certificate may contain:

• Student name;
• School name;
• School logo;
• Course or Programme title;
• completion date;
• issue date;
• certificate number;
• credential identifier;
• authorised signatory;
• verification information;
• QR code;
• JIT Campus verification reference; and
• other appropriate information.

17. Student Names

Students are responsible for ensuring that the name recorded on their Account or submitted for certification is accurate.

Where a certificate contains an error, correction may be requested through the relevant School.

18. Verification Functionality

JIT Campus may provide a certificate-verification service.

This may allow a person to enter a certificate number, scan a QR code or use another verification method to determine whether a corresponding certificate record exists within JIT Campus.

19. Meaning of “Verified”

Where JIT Campus confirms that a certificate is verified, this ordinarily means:

the certificate information presented corresponds with a certificate record maintained through JIT Campus.

Verification does not, by itself, mean that:

• JIT Campus accredited the Course;
• Jorsas Tech approved the curriculum;
• the School is government accredited;
• the qualification is regulated;
• the credential is equivalent to a degree;
• the Student is professionally licensed; or
• JIT Campus guarantees the Student’s competence.

This distinction is fundamental.

20. Recommended Verification Wording

Where technically appropriate, the verification page should use wording such as:

Certificate Record Verified

This confirms that the certificate corresponds with a credential issued by the named School through JIT Campus. Verification does not constitute accreditation, professional recognition or endorsement by JIT Campus or Jorsas Tech.

21. Unique Certificate Numbers

JIT Campus may generate a unique identifier for certificates.

The identifier may be used to:

• locate certificate records;
• verify authenticity;
• reduce certificate fraud;
• identify duplicates; and
• support administrative enquiries.

22. QR Codes

Certificates may contain QR codes directing Users to a JIT Campus verification page.

The presence of a QR code indicates that the certificate may be digitally checked.

It does not automatically indicate accreditation.

23. Accredited Qualifications

Where a School states that a Course or certificate is accredited, recognised or regulated, the School is responsible for ensuring that the claim is accurate.

24. Accreditation Information

Where appropriate, a School making an accreditation claim should identify:

• the accrediting organisation;
• relevant accreditation or approval;
• qualification status;
• applicable registration or reference number where relevant; and
• any material limitations.

25. JIT Campus May Request Evidence

JIT Campus does not need to verify every School before it can create Courses.

However, where a School makes a significant accreditation or regulatory claim, JIT Campus may request supporting evidence where reasonably necessary, including following:

• a complaint;
• suspected fraud;
• regulatory enquiry;
• repeated Student concerns; or
• other credible grounds for review.

26. False Accreditation

A School must not knowingly claim that its Course is:

• accredited;
• government recognised;
• professionally recognised;
• university validated;
• regulated; or
• officially licensed

where that claim is false.

JIT Campus may remove or restrict misleading claims.

27. Regulated Education

Some qualifications may be subject to legal or regulatory requirements.

A School providing such education is responsible for ensuring that it has the authority required to offer or award the relevant qualification.

28. Platform Access Is Not Regulatory Approval

Creating a School or Course through JIT Campus does not give the School regulatory authority.

JIT Campus technology must not be presented as a substitute for regulatory approval.

29. Professional Status

A certificate hosted through JIT Campus does not automatically make a Student a regulated professional.

For example, completing a Course hosted on JIT Campus does not automatically make someone a:

• doctor;
• nurse;
• lawyer;
• solicitor;
• accountant;
• engineer;
• teacher;
• financial adviser; or
• other regulated professional.

Any professional recognition must arise from the appropriate professional or regulatory framework.

30. Employment

Schools must not guarantee that a certificate will result in employment unless there is a legitimate basis for such a guarantee.

Statements such as:

“This certificate guarantees you a job.”

must not be made where they are false or misleading.

31. Employer Recognition

JIT Campus does not guarantee that every employer will recognise every certificate issued by every School.

Students should consider the status and relevance of a Course before enrolling.

32. Immigration Claims

Schools must not falsely represent certificates as providing:

• immigration status;
• visa eligibility;
• permanent residence;
• citizenship;
• sponsorship rights; or
• other immigration benefits.

Where a Course genuinely has recognised immigration relevance, claims must still be accurate.

33. School Branding

Schools may customise certificates using available functionality.

This may include:

• School logo;
• School colours;
• authorised signatures;
• School name; and
• Course information.

34. JIT Campus Branding

JIT Campus may include limited Platform branding or verification information on certificates.

Such branding should not be interpreted as JIT Campus accreditation.

35. Misleading Designs

Schools must not design certificates to deliberately imitate:

• government certificates;
• university degrees;
• professional licences;
• regulatory certificates; or
• another institution’s credentials

where the School has no authority to issue such credentials.

36. Authorised Signatures

Schools may identify persons authorised to sign or approve certificates.

These may include:

• School Owner;
• School Director;
• Lecturer;
• Programme Lead; or
• another authorised person.

37. False Signatures

Users must not:

• forge signatures;
• use another person’s signature without authority;
• falsely claim approval from a professional body; or
• impersonate an authorised signatory.

38. Administrative Errors

Certificates may be corrected where there is an administrative error such as:

• misspelled Student name;
• incorrect date;
• incorrect Course title;
• incorrect certificate number; or
• another genuine record error.

39. Correction Records

Where appropriate, JIT Campus may retain records showing that a certificate was corrected or reissued.

This can help preserve the integrity of credential records.

40. School Revocation

A School may revoke or withdraw a certificate where there are legitimate grounds.

Possible grounds may include:

• certificate issued in error;
• serious academic fraud;
• impersonation;
• fraudulent assessment;
• falsification of Course completion;
• administrative mistake; or
• another legitimate reason under School rules.

41. Fair Process

Where revocation is based on alleged Student misconduct, the Student should ordinarily have a reasonable opportunity to respond before a final decision is made.

This may not be necessary where the certificate was clearly generated because of an obvious technical or administrative error.

42. Revocation Status

Where verification functionality exists, a revoked certificate may display an appropriate status such as:

Revoked

or

No Longer Valid

rather than simply disappearing from the system.

This helps prevent fraudulent use of previously issued certificates.

43. Platform Intervention

JIT Campus may restrict certificate functionality where there is credible evidence of:

• systematic certificate fraud;
• fake Schools;
• forged credentials;
• false accreditation;
• Platform manipulation;
• serious academic fraud; or
• unlawful activity.

44. JIT Campus Does Not Normally Determine Academic Achievement

JIT Campus will not ordinarily decide whether a Student academically deserved a School’s certificate.

That remains a School academic decision.

JIT Campus may intervene where the integrity or security of the Platform itself is affected.

45. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• create fake certificates;
• alter certificate verification information;
• manipulate QR codes;
• forge certificate numbers;
• issue certificates for fake Students;
• create false Course completion records;
• sell fraudulent certificates;
• modify certificate records without authority; or
• circumvent JIT Campus verification controls.

46. Serious Misconduct

Systematic certificate fraud may result in:

• Account suspension;
• School suspension;
• removal of certificate privileges;
• termination of Platform access; or
• referral to competent authorities where appropriate.

47. Sharing

Students may generally share certificates legitimately issued to them.

This may include sharing with:

• employers;
• educational institutions;
• clients;
• professional organisations; or
• through professional profiles and social media.

48. No Alteration

Students must not alter a certificate in a way that materially misrepresents:

• their name;
• Course;
• grade;
• School;
• completion status;
• date;
• accreditation; or
• other credential information.

49. Limited Verification Data

Where certificate verification is publicly accessible, JIT Campus should limit displayed information to what is reasonably necessary to verify the credential.

Depending on the design, this may include:

• Student name;
• Course;
• School;
• issue date;
• certificate identifier; and
• certificate status.

50. Privacy

Certificate verification should be designed with appropriate privacy safeguards.

Sensitive Student information should not be publicly displayed merely because a certificate is verifiable.

51. Existing Certificates

Where technically and legally practicable, JIT Campus may retain verification records for legitimately issued certificates after a School closes.

This may allow Students to continue verifying previously earned credentials.

52. No Guarantee of Permanent Hosting

Unless expressly guaranteed under a specific Service arrangement, JIT Campus does not promise that every certificate will remain hosted or verifiable indefinitely.

Schools and Students should retain appropriate copies of important credentials.

53. Certificates From Suspended Schools

Suspension of a School does not automatically mean that every certificate previously issued by that School was fraudulent.

JIT Campus may determine how verification records should be displayed based on the circumstances.

54. Fraudulent School

Where a School is determined to have been created primarily to issue fraudulent credentials, JIT Campus may invalidate or restrict relevant certificate records.

55. Records

JIT Campus may maintain records relating to certificate issuance, including:

• Student;
• School;
• Course;
• issue date;
• certificate identifier;
• certificate status;
• reissues;
• revocations; and
• relevant audit information.

Such information will be handled in accordance with the JIT Campus Privacy Policy.

56. Platform Errors

Where a certificate is incorrectly generated because of a verified JIT Campus technical error, JIT Campus may work with the School to:

• correct the record;
• cancel the incorrect certificate;
• reissue the certificate; or
• take another appropriate technical action.

The School remains responsible for determining whether the Student academically qualifies for the certificate.

57. Certificate Disputes

A Student disputing:

• eligibility;
• grade;
• Course completion;
• academic misconduct;
• certificate withdrawal; or
• another academic matter

should ordinarily raise the issue with the School.

58. JIT Campus Disputes

A complaint may be raised directly with JIT Campus where the issue concerns:

• verification malfunction;
• certificate security;
• unauthorised alteration;
• Account compromise;
• Platform-generated errors;
• systematic credential fraud; or
• misuse of JIT Campus branding.

59. Responsibility for Credentials

Schools remain responsible for:

• deciding who qualifies for certificates;
• establishing completion requirements;
• ensuring certificate information is accurate;
• making truthful accreditation claims;
• appointing authorised signatories;
• correcting academic errors; and
• determining legitimate revocations.

60. JIT Campus Responsibility

JIT Campus is responsible for the technology it provides for certificate generation, storage and verification, subject to its Terms and applicable law.

JIT Campus does not automatically assume responsibility for the academic judgment of independent Schools.

61. Changes to This Policy

JIT Campus may update this Policy to reflect:

• new certificate functionality;
• digital credential technology;
• QR-code verification;
• blockchain or other verification technologies;
• changes to education regulation;
• emerging credential fraud risks; or
• improvements to Platform governance.

The latest version will be published through JIT Campus.

62. Relationship With Other Policies

This Policy should be read together with the:

• JIT Campus Terms and Conditions;
• Privacy Policy;
• School Owner and School Management Policy;
• Academic Regulations and Assessment Policy;
• Academic Integrity Policy;
• Intellectual Property and Copyright Policy;
• Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities Policy; and
• Complaints, Appeals and Dispute Resolution Policy.

Questions concerning eligibility for a particular certificate should ordinarily be directed to the School that issued it.

Questions concerning JIT Campus certificate verification or suspected certificate fraud may be directed to JIT Campus.
